We've put this workshop together for one main reason:
A few years ago we were working in the NHS during COVID as Physiotherapists.
You all saw what it was like on the news so we'll spare you the details.
With all of the lockdowns and restrictions in place we had nothing going on outside of work. We needed a true escape from the brutal 9-5.
So when we got the call from a few of our mates (All NHS Physio's too) saying that they wanted to do an IRONMAN we thought...
Why not?
This sent us on a path of self discovery that we did not expect. There were so many times we questioned what we were doing.
"Does it make sense to continue with the gruelling weeks of training?"
Most nights we'd get home from a crazy shift and the only thing we wanted to do was crash in front of the TV.
But no.
We had to lace up our running shoes and brave a wet and windy winter evening and clock up the 16 mile run we had scheduled.
Training was brutal...
But race day was even tougher.
There were times when we thought about throwing in the towel. But with our friends and family all watching on, we knew that was never an option.
We can't begin to explain the feeling when we crossed the finish line and heard the words...
'You are an IRONMAN'.
It made all the pain and suffering worth it. And ever since then...
We've been hooked on triathlon.
Now we've made it our mission to help triathletes prevent injuries in training and reach peak race day performance.
